CHARLESTON, W.Va. — U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), a member of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee and the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $3,769,158 for West Virginia from the Department of Transportation (DOT)’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) program. Specifically, this funding will help upgrade and improve natural gas pipelines that distribute critical energy to homes and businesses across West Virginia.

“Every day, I am working to make sure West Virginians have access to the energy resources needed to power our homes and businesses, and keep our economy moving forward in the safest ways possible,” Senator Capito said. “The funding announced today will continue to strengthen our energy infrastructure, and help prevent any future issues that could disrupt energy distribution across our state.”
