U.S. Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., joined Diversified Energy officials and other West Virginia leaders Monday to mark the company’s 25th anniversary.

Capito, chairwoman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, delivered remarks during the celebration focused on Diversified Energy’s presence in West Virginia and the role of domestic energy production.

“Diversified Energy’s impact in West Virginia is evident in communities across our state, and their success is clear through the lights they keep on, homes they keep warm, jobs they provide, and the support they give back. Rusty Hutson is a true son of West Virginia, and his love for our state is clear through his service and commitment to our people. I have been proud to work alongside Diversified Energy to increase energy production in our state and continue our honored tradition in West Virginia of powering our communities and nation. I look forward to the next 25 years of this proud company and the impact they will continue make in our state,” Senator Capito said.

Diversified Energy was founded by West Virginia native Rusty Hutson Jr., who serves as the company’s chairman and CEO.
