WASHINGTON D.C. - Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease for children in the United States but a bill heading to President Trump's desk might change that.

The Childhood Cancer Survivorship, Treatment, Access and Research (STAR) Act looks to expand opportunities for childhood cancer research, and enhance the quality of life for childhood cancer survivors.

Senator Capito of West Virginia introduced the bill with Senator Jack Reed from Rhode Island. The bill was passed in the Senate in March and the House of Representatives on Tuesday.
