U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) helped secure funds for the Marshall University Division of Aviation in Charleston, WV.

According to a press release from the Office of Senator Capito, who is a leader on the Appropriations Committee, the $2,502,000 in funds are due to a Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) allocation. The funds will go towards increasing the capacity of the Marshall University Division of Aviation by providing more equipment and training tools.

"The Bill Noe Flight School through the Marshall University Division of Aviation sets the standard for aviation education and innovation.

As a consistent supporter of the program and someone who has visited several times and seen the facility firsthand, I know the impact they can make not just on the students, but also on economic development. This CDS allocation will help train the next generation of pilots and aviation professionals right here in Charleston."
