Sen. Shelley Moore Capito’s request to salvage funding for the public school systems across America is much appreciated. Capito, R-WVa., should be thanked for raising her voice to step aside from this administration’s reckless dismantling of services to the American public at large and its obsequiousness to the obscenely wealthy.
Capito is a former educator who understands our country’s obligation to provide quality education for all people.
Thank you, Sen. Capito, for understanding that our government has a powerful role to play to undergird the well-being of 340 million Americans and to be a good neighbor in a world that grows smaller and more exploited every day.
