U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., traveled to Parkersburg on Monday to tour the new Wood County Resiliency Center and hear about the facility’s potential economic and safety benefits for the community.

“I enjoyed touring the Wood County Resiliency Center today, an incredible facility that will benefit not only the Parkersburg and Wood County communities, but the entire region,” Capito said. “The multipurpose, adaptable facility is equipped to respond in case of emergency and will serve as a driver for economic and community development. I look forward to seeing how the center is used in the years to come.”
