West Virginia's Republican Senator Shelley Moore-Capito issued a statement about the impact of first-day decisions by President Biden on the economy.
Biden issued a number of executive orders before taking office, including rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement and stopping the Keystone XL Pipeline.
“This virtue signaling comes at the expense of low-income and rural families that rely upon industries opposed by liberal environmental groups,” she said.
Moore-Capito said West Virginians haven't forgotten the harm from the same approach under President Obama.
