Last week, China held a military parade in Tiananmen Square, marking the 80th Anniversary of Japan’s surrender in WWII.

China’s President Xi Jinping, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, and North Korea’s Leader Kim Jong Un appeared side by side as the parade showcased a large range of weaponry, including aircraft, drones, and missiles.

U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito says that although the display caught her eye, it reminds her to reflect on our own country’s military strength.

We have to be smart with our resources, and we are – we are far superior than those countries in our military’s strength and intelligence. We just have to keep that readiness – but that parade was something to see.”
