CHARLESTON, W.Va. – This morning, U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) convened West Virginia’s Republican congressional and state elected leaders to discuss their work on behalf of West Virginians over the coming year. Senator Capito issued this statement following the meeting:

“I was glad to convene such a productive meeting this morning in Charleston. We discussed the great opportunity that lies ahead for our state with Republican leaders representing more offices in West Virginia than ever before in my lifetime. West Virginians made their voices heard in November, and now it’s time for us to deliver the results they have asked for. From job and infrastructure growth to regulatory reform, I look forward to working with my colleagues at the state and federal levels to shake things up and create a stronger West Virginia.”

At the meeting, Senator Capito was joined by: Congressmen Evan Jenkins, David McKinley, and Congressman Alex Mooney; Speaker Tim Armstead; Attorney General Patrick Morrisey; Senate Majority Leader and Senate President-Elect Mitch Carmichael; State Auditor-Elect J.B. McCuskey; Commissioner of Agriculture-Elect Kent Leonhardt and Secretary of State-Elect Mac Warner.
