Funding will lower costs, advance breakthroughs for hydrogen technology
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced $1,000,000 from the Department of Energy for a hydrogen research project involving the National Energy Technology Laboratory. This project will accelerate breakthroughs in emerging hydrogen leak detection technologies and support advancements in the clean hydrogen sector.
“It’s important for the United States to support an all-of-the-above approach and make investments in a variety of energy technologies, including hydrogen,” Senator Capito said. “Today’s announcement is welcome news that will deliver funding to support and advance research efforts that explore innovative solutions in clean energy.”
