CHARLESTON, W.Va. – U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), members of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $446,954 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for two critical research projects at West Virginia University.

“I’m pleased to see HHS continuing investments into research initiatives conducted in the Mountain State,” Senator Capito said. “Funding like this creates opportunities for our professors and students, which will help lead to progress within our communities. I will continue to use my role on the Senate Appropriations Committee to bring important support like this to our colleges and universities in West Virginia.”
