WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), members of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $249,186 for the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (WV DHHR) through the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Small Rural Hospital Improvement Program. Funding will support small rural hospitals in providing affordable care to West Virginians through assisting with the purchase of equipment, software, and training.
“Access to quality, affordable health care is critical for the well-being of West Virginians,” Senator Capito said. “Throughout my time in Congress, I have worked to ensure West Virginians have access to modern and reliable health care facilities no matter where they live. This funding will give West Virginia DHHR additional resources to assist small rural hospitals and ensure that our state’s health care system works for all West Virginians.”
