CHARLESTON, W.Va. – U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), members of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $3,383,525 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) health center cluster grant program. This funding will provide support and resources for health centers across West Virginia.

“Our health centers provide essential health care services that many West Virginians rely on—especially as we continue to battle the COVID-19 pandemic. This funding will help maintain our health centers, ensuring access to important services in even our most rural areas. I will continue to advocate for our health centers and make sure they have access to the resources needed to stay safe and prepared,” Senator Capito said.

“Our West Virginia health centers provide quality care for West Virginians, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, and I’m pleased the HHS is investing in health centers across the Mountain State,” said Senator Manchin. “This funding will help our health centers provide essential medical services and ensure all West Virginians have access to quality, affordable healthcare, regardless of where they live. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I will continue to advocate for funding and resources to support health centers in West Virginia.”
