CHARLESTON, W.Va. – U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), members of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $10,082,592 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to support Head Start programs across West Virginia.
“Our children deserve to be on their best footing as they begin their education. Programs like Head Start provide our children with the foundation needed support their future success,” Senator Capito said. “Investing in the youth of our state is a direct investment into the overall future of West Virginia. I’m proud to support programs like Head Start that continue to help the next generation of West Virginia leaders.”
