CHARLESTON, W.Va. – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) today delivered remarks at the County Commissioners’ Association of West Virginia’s (CCAWV) Legislative Conference. During her address, Senator Capito spoke about the vital role county commissioner’s play throughout West Virginia, efforts to connect unserved and underserved areas of the state with reliable broadband, and recent economic development successes.

“Our county commissioners play a vital role in serving the unique and complex needs of our communities, and it’s important that we maintain a close relationship and work together,”
Senator Capito said. “I was thrilled to address CCAWV’s conference again this year and thank each commissioner for their service to West Virginia, while also discussing important issues that we are currently facing. There is no denying that there is a growing momentum in West Virginia right now, and I look forward to working with all our local officials to build on that in the year ahead.”
