HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-W.Va.) today toured the Hoops Family Children’s Hospital in Huntington.

“Today’s tour at Hoops really showcased the incredible care and talent at the hospital,” Senator Capito said. “I appreciate the work of all the faculty and staff there, and West Virginians can take pride in knowing our children receive top-quality care in this community hospital. Hoops not only contributes to the health and safety of our state but also provides good jobs to the greater Huntington area. I’ll continue working at the federal level to ensure all of our health centers have the resources they need to be successful.”

“I was grateful for the opportunity to tour Hoops Family Children’s Hospital today,” said Congresswoman Miller. “These impressive facilities play a vital role in providing access to high-quality healthcare in our community. As a wife, mother, and a grandmother, I’m committed to ensuring that our children have the resources available to lead safe, happy, and healthy lives, and have opportunities for a prosperous future.”

Later in the day, Senator Capito stopped for lunch at Jim’s Steak and Spaghetti House before meeting with Brad Smith, former CEO of Intuit and Marshall University graduate.
