CHARLESTON, W.Va. – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) today released the following video message ahead of Thanksgiving to express gratitude for the many blessings offered to West Virginians and Americans.

“Thanksgiving is such a special holiday, especially in West Virginia. It's a time when we gather with our friends, our family, and our loved ones.
“It's also a time to celebrate family traditions. But Thanksgiving is more than just a big meal around the family table.
“It's an intentional time for each of us to count our blessings, express gratitude for the people who have come into our lives, and to cherish the memories of those who are no longer at the family table.
“We all have so much to be thankful for. I know I do. Whether it's my family, my friends, good health, the brave men and women in uniform who protect our freedoms, especially those deployed overseas and unable to be with their families, or the opportunity to serve the people of the great state of West Virginia in the United States Senate.
“I recognize that I have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. As you join together with your loved ones, I encourage you to take a moment to stop and acknowledge the many blessings we all enjoy as West Virginians and as Americans.
“So, from my family to yours, I hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving.”
